Donation to ReStore

By donating your surplus building materials, new or gently used appliances and other home improvement items to the ReSTORE, you can support many goals at once:

Help the environment Keep good, reusable materials out of the landfills.

Help a family and a neighborhood All funds raised by the ReSTORE go directly toward building more houses for low-income families in Council Bluffs. Your donation can help a family achieve its goal of owning a home and help revitalize a neighborhood.

Help other homeowners For many families, finding affordable materials to maintain their homes can be difficult at times. With a large supply of used materials in good condition, the ReSTORE provides a place for homeowners under any budget.

The ReSTORE accepts most reusable building materials. Unfortunately, however, we cannot accept the following items: appliances that are not in working condition (or those that are older than 10 years); mangled or rotten lumber; mattresses; quarts of paint; opened, spoiled, unusable, or very old paint; glass and mirrors; any chemicals. If you have any questions about acceptable materials, please call us at (712) 256-5494.

Donations can be brought to the ReSTORE any time during store hours
Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Donation pick-ups can be scheduled.
