Building a Foundation with Habitat

Building a Foundation event is held at the Grass Wagon in Council Bluffs. It is a fundraiser that features “Salvage Art” from local artists. A live auction and silent auction are held while enjoying fun, food & spirits. Funds raised help improve the lives of low-income families in the community.

Mr Habitat Competition

Last year’s Mr. Habitat for Humanity Pageant was one of the most enjoyable charity events in the metro, and this year’s will be even better! Our star-studded contestants include:

Iggy Cockcroft, bartender at Glory Days
Lowell Hennig, Pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran
Mike Hooper, Attorney at M.D. Hooper Law, and
Patrick Henry, Funeral Director at Cutler O’Neill Funeral Home

The crowd will be unforgettably entertained by stunning and silly talents, Greek God-like figures in beachwear* and fine gentlemen in formalwear. Come enjoy a gourmet meal and play an active role in choosing this year’s Mr. Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs 2014.

Southwest Iowa Realtor’s Association Golf Outing

The Southwest Iowa Association of Realtors hosts an annual golf bash with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs.

Servefest

Habitat has partnered with local churches  to perform a day of service and make a difference in Council Bluffs by loving our community. Volunteers from these churches join together to serve at various locations and make a community wide impact.

Servefest has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to raise funds for our current home build. By partnering together we are “Building hope, building lives, one family at a time.

Nickels for Nails

Nickels for Nails is an ongoing fundraiser where individual groups do a month-long, day-by-day collection of coins based on their answers to certain questions, i.e. “Do you have a roof that is less than 20 years old? Put in a quarter for every year less than 20 years.”
